Transporter 2013 Defroster Actuator Stuck - help please.

    Hi guys,

looking for some assistance with the below error please, my defroster won't go onto the screen correctly and it will only push air to it when selecting feet and screen, I have replaced the motor but it's still doing the same, the motor sort of stutters when trying to select the different positions, when the motor was out I tried to move the vent levers manually and they moved without any real pressure so assuming that's okay, also applied power directly to the old and new motors and both seem to work correctly but swapped it anyway, has anyone come across this before?

    Thanks, Tim.

... start with posting a full autoscan, not only a part of it...

Faultcode says actuator stuck, so try output test or basic settings... see if the flap moves or not!

    Hi Mari,

I didn't think the rest of the code would be relevant, but here it is. I did try to run a couple of tests, one stated something like module test not supported and another one which I think was a flap end stop test showed as finished successfully.

Ignore the seat faults as I haven't finished wiring them yet, also I'm aware of the light ones as well, also need more wiring.

Tests can not always be done in controller or adapted if a DTC exists, did you remove arm from motor to see if it can clear DTC?

    Thanks Jack, still no different.

However a couple of months ago installed new HVAC controls to allow for heated seats, so I thought I'd swap back to the old controls and hey presto, all is working fine, what I don't understand is that I coded the new controls and ran flap calibration etc. and all has been good up until couple of weeks ago when I noticed that then screen wasn't demisting, any ideas on this at all?

Do you think maybe bad new controller or connection issue at controller or are you sure the retrofit is correct?

A faulty controller is possible, I've just re-calibrated them and no change, the part number I purchased is 7E0 907 047M ZJU my original unit is 7E5 907 047 BNWZU.

All wiring looks ok, I haven't touched the wiring yet for the heated seat addition, but have found that the wiring I need to tap into for pins 12 & 13 are actually presented at a connector behind the glove box so was adding them there anyway.

It's really getting frustrating now tbh, I think I'll put the old controllers back in for now as my screen doesn't clear due to this issue and I'll contact the company I bought the other ones from, bit of a pain as they are based in Germany.
