You do not need to go to the fuse box. You have only to find + for assitants (ACC, A5 camera...) which is above the driver's footwell. You'll find a convinience point where you can scratch cables and solder + cable for rear side assist controllers. It comes from T17h/15 ( a green/black cable). If you do it like this, you'll have it installed as per factory.
I’ll look for it! More interesting! Ask for more help in case of failure! Thanks!

The AliExpress seller sense me this VCDS coding

1. Register the 3C module in the gateway

2. Remove firmware protection (CP) use odis online code
3. 3C CODE : 04C002

4. 17 ----- lonng code help - active side assist & BAP distance

5. 5F - (MIB unit) - active side assist support

It can be done using the VCDS or only the odis software?
I’ll look with mine to see if I understand it!

Step 2 requires ODIS (or a shop with online FAZIT access at least), all the other steps can be done with VCDS.

Plus to even be able to pay the very large fee, you would need a written approval from local VW to be qualified for access.

And believe me, coding with ODIS is plain awful.

You mean this green/black wire on the black connector?

Yes, if you have already ACC fited, you just have to take + on this wire and also solder CAN wires on the two wires at this coupling point.
No need to go directly on the Gateway and fuse board.

For CAN wires, it's
A5 module T12/2 to coupling point T17/13 Orange/Brown wire. You have to solder it near coupling point between coupling point and CAN Gateway.
A5 module T12/8 to coupling point T17/12 Orange/Grey wire. You have to solder it near coupling point between coupling point and CAN Gateway.

As UWE said, it's not so sensible. You can do it with no stress. But make a good tin solder with insulation.

Have this cable! Maybe it’s easier! For CAN

More and more plugs, I don't think it's better. You just have to solder three wires under A pillar, it's not so hard...

Agreed! I can do this before the black connector or after it?

The convinience point (part of harness without tape all round the wires) is between coupling point (black plug) and Gateway. Solder it about 4-5 cm from black plug. Just where it's easier for you.

Not so sure if I do it right! On the photo, green arrows, are two orange/brown wires! I use the one with the blue x! The blue arrow is the gray wire! The other one I used! Right or wrong? Lots of error codes! But I not use the Odis yet!

As I finished the work, ACC, AFS, Lane Assist, sign assist were disabled and with fault code as the side assist! Maybe they work together and will returned after coding or I just messed up!

That is normal. When you code even if you haven't done CP, dataset and calibration, ACC and lane assist will come back.
