Yes, I didn't found procedure for side assist... could you share it?

I'm also searching for informations about powered calibration tool to make a DIY one.

    I read this :

But I'm not sure to understand it all...

    This is good https://www.drive2.ru/l/10151918/

There you’ll see what is needed. Those cylindrical fans cost around 30€ in Ebay.

Here’s the guide I used. It gives you close enough distances http://www.vwgolf.org/calibrating_bl...087_-2606.html

I didn’t even have the camera calibration board. I just made a board with correct width using a floorboard. Then measured the distance from the board front taking into account the camera board depth. I got close enough distance to place the fan and was able to complete the calibration.

The Russian page explains. Just use google translator.

OEM plastic box has that type axial fan inside. Basically anything you can adjust speed, reflect signal and create a doppler wave to disturb the radar detection area, is ok.

Ok, I didn't read this page.
All I need is just control signal quality (must be not under 80%) in group 20, second and fourth window. I'll try to make a DIY doppler emulator with just a motor and a holey metal disc.
And calibration process in VCDS is as simple as A5 calibration.

I'll do it as quick as I can and hope I'll not turn crazy like with lane assist.

No no, with the SWA3.0 modules that go to your Passat as well, don’t need the power level to be over 80%. Only angle needs to be +-4 degrees. Those modules have dynamic calibration as well and that will handle the power calibration in traffic.

Yes. If it is calibrated to Passat. Mine also said calibrated but no, they were brand new units without dataset and calibration.

    Hummmm...
The seller replied to me: "I do not have the one which needs to parameter."
So, I need VAS to implement firmware in the control module, right?
I don't want to start this retrofit until I have all figured out... not like with lane assist retrofit

As VCDS can't do it, to implement data, I need this [URL redacted], right?
But this should only allow me to change data set. I also need to find passat B8 sw data set...but wher can I find it?

Yes, ODIS if you need to update or downgrade the firmware and VCP to load dataset. VCP has their own filemanagement which is accessible when you buy the tool. The datasets are not freely distributed in the net.
