JDM import B6 A4 Avant 5.7ABS CODING INFO

Hoping this forum can reach someone with more info on this type of thing than I. Have this JDM imported 03 A4 2.0L N/A CVT/FWD which has presented an odd problem. Two modules were gifted to me with instructions to "make it work". Neither module has any softcoding present (00000), and so far aside from vcds, I've attempted coding with vas5052, auto logic..... The login codes/coding I've tried have resulted in no coding being saved. I can't post autoscan now, but only two faults are the obvious: module incorrectly coded and g85 no/incorrect basic settings.
    Any help is appreciated!!

    Welcome to the VCDS forum.

OP could you please post a complete auto-scan and part numbers of what it is you are doing?

Did you follow the RTFB or wiki procedure?

    Sure sounds like FOD huh?

I'll add the ABS module info ASAP.
If the routine coding procedures had worked, I wouldn't be posting this!
Clever acronyms aside Jack, I'm simply looking for help from users regarding a login as VCDS only lists NAR options for login this vehicle (if i'm assuming correctly).
AutoScan will be added momentarily; note module in autoscan is original

It should help considering you have the wrong part number installed in your scan & the correct part numbers have been given to you including legacy numbers, no?

How does this not help you?
Are you saying you are looking to retrofit a wrong module?

Why is the engine config missing from the scan?

The module that is currently installed is without a suffix as earlier stated, part number 8EO614517. Autoscan was performed with the "module that was originally installed" according to the owner (obviously not).
Again, with the run of the mill login/coding module will not accept coding with any of the login codes I've used, and the vehicle RPO sticker is missing (par for the course). You're not aware of any login codes that pertain to the Japanese market vehicles? I dont see why they would be any different, as EU vehicles were equipped with the same options.

EDIT: My apologies, i did not add the info in the original reply notifying that the module installed in the vehicle RIGHT NOW is a 8E0 614517

Again, could you please post a complete auto-scan and including the correct part numbers and engine ECU which is currently vacant in the aforementioned vehicle scan?

Is your true location Canada or Japan and indeed you know I am aware, I'm just not sharing & until you comport with basic procedures, isn't that fair?

    Did you JPPSG yet?

Agreed, however, why purport to perpetuate this mindset?

NostraJackASS can be and is indeed an ASShole, even admittedly, will continue to be so & in the spirit/interest of everyone's safety and qualified repairs to be accomplished!

Your module in the scan suggests it's an AWD (allrad) one:

    Code:
Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 8E0-614-517.lbl
       Part No: 8E0 614 517 A
       Component: ABS/ESP allrad 3429
       Coding: 00000
       Shop #: WSC 00000
       VCID: 26430EBFC2EAB07FFD-5140
Without the correct part number, it's unlikely you'll simply be able to "code" it, unless it just happens to conveniently be one that's compatible and has different options, that are also compatible.

When people do work out which ones swap over, it's usually by trial and error, or good investigative guesswork VW/Audi have a list of replacement units (that Jack showed). A different suffix on the end isn't a super-cession, it can mean a totally different module compatibility range.

If you really want to get this thing going, find the correct ABS module. Then get it back to it's rightful owner... before that trans explodes

(Or, do a manual conversion, which is probably what your now-fitted ABS part number is compatible with )

Correct module is currently in the vehicle, as stated above. The one fitted during the AutoScan was one provided by the customer as his "diag" for the wheel speed sensor signal faults he was dealing with.
Original module is correct part number 8E0 614 517.
