Hi all first time posting finally got my vcds going since ive had my car sitting in my driveway for a month now
heres a little history followed by the autoscan…..
bought car 6 months ago with MIL on but full driving functionality but with hooking up a obd code reader I saw a code for underboost but figured it was the dv and would get around to changing it when I had the time since then my waterpump went which I replaced with the full aluminum housing kit from ecs including belt and pulley along with hardware (bolt) replaced that and car drove okay I have also noticed that my rear main seal has gotten worse started with a small oil stain overnight to me adding 1 qt of oil every 2 days still have yet to fix that and maybe that is an underlying issue here but I don't want to dump a bunch of money into this car I was hoping to sell it before It became undriveable
so on the freeway one night I started noticing my loss of speed and power going up hills, was able to make it home luckily. the next morning started up and got down my driveway to realize my car was bogging so bad I couldn't drive it and getting MIL blinking for misfires which is does under any load and it barely chugged itself back into my driveway (uphill). so I saw my pcv valve was hissing and blowing oil steam out of it so I went ahead and ordered a new one (Hamburg tech.....same part number with an extra letter at end for the revision) off ecs. I installed that and figured while im at it let me take my dv valve out and see if its bad. upon removal I noticed it has already been replaced by previous owner and updated to piston style but it did have some oil on it figuring from pcv valve being shot. so I took it apart and cleaned it all off with seafoam spray and a papertowel. reinstalled it and car doesn't run any better it idles smooth but under any load it will only go to 1300 rpm and drop back to idle or lower bogging the whole time until idle evens out. here is my autoscan.
