Hi All

I bought my VCDS setup from Mashalls Industrial here in the UK at the weekend following the purchase of a new family bus in the shape of a 2012 VW Caravelle Executive T5.1 140 DSG that arrived last week.

Beyond permitting me to perform a service indicator reset after each intervention, I'm sure that there are numerous things that our vehicle can be coded to support and here starts day 1 of my new school learning.

I'm certain that the MFD/DIS should be able to do more than just show basic trip computer settings (it's the colour version and a previous '07 Touareg displayed NAV and all sorts in the DIS), I'd like to enable drive-away locking, the RNS510 is currently using Eastern European maps and won't play DVD's so I'm wondering if the region setting is not compatible with the UK for some reason, and I've bought the VW bluetooth kit to add phone connectivity and I will need to code this once installed.

I'm also considering adding the MFSW button pack to our steering wheel and would love to get flappy paddles to work if that's at all possible, but for now I guess that it's learn to walk before I run!

Hi and welcome.

Let's start with the most straightforward thing. I presume by "drive away locking" you want the vehicle to lock itself once you get above a walking speed.

Channel 004 is Auto-Lock. 0 = OFF / 1 = ON

Channel 003 is Auto-Unlock. This unlocks the vehicle when you remove the key. 0 = OFF / 1 = ON

As for displaying stuff in your instrument cluster, I'm no expert on what can and can't be done in there, but will say this: The systems in a Transporter are not as "fancy" or capable as those in a Touareg.

I'm not sure about the MFA cluster functions or flappy paddles either but the Telephone retrofit should be straight forward.

I would suggest posting some of those tweak specific questions in that sub-forum for now. When you get the telephone module installed and communicating, I would add it to the 19-CAN Gateway via the [Installation List] function followed by coding 77-Telephone directly. If you encounter any difficulty please start a thread in the Retrofits section so we can see which unit is installed.

The Jetta platform that page was created for also used a PQ25 BCM so many of those options are identical. The 03-ABS Brake module for example is entirely different so the page can be used as a very general guide.
