2012 Passat 3C Cruise Control

I Have following trouble with my Passat. If I want to activate cruise controll, it's only posible on first and second gear. Till reaching roughly 30km/h. Then it's not possible. I changed the hall sensor on main clutch cylinder, because there were fault code in memory. I tried also to uncode cruise controll and then code it again, but it also didn't help. I also find out, that the gear indicator don't work very well. It shows only first and second gear on low speed. On higher gears/speed it sometimes appears and then disappears. I think it has something to do with cruise controll, but I have no idae how to solve it.

So I'm here again with correct vvcds device.

In the meantime I realized, that sw of car do not correspond with my transmission. Do you have any ideas what to do with it?

You maybe also realized, I'm using Hexnet in infrastructure mode. Every time I want to do the autoscan it gives me error message about ASAM files. I tried download it several times in both channels. Do you have any idea, what I did wrong?

And Also I'm not able to view or email the log. Only opportunity I have is to sync it to cloud.

For any problem(s) with the car: Use VCDS rather than VCDS-Mobile to get us a scan.

What kind of transmission does this car have? The CAN gatewaty doesn't seem to think it has one either.

If no gearbox in scan, then its usually a manual box

Factory gearbox code (3 letters) can be found from the vehicle data sheet near spare wheel in trunk and beginning of service handbook. The 1.4 TSI on RoW Passat B7 should have one of the following 6-speed manual boxes: LHY, LNY, NBW, NBX, PRG or PRJ. Check on the gearbox case between the selector tower and engine block which gearbox code you have. If it's not one of them, someone has probably fitted a wrong box for this vehicle.

It's manual. And the thing is i bought this car as is with changed transmission. The original one should be NBW. On the housing there is this code brushed away. Is there any opportunity to fix that? My idea was to try in software of the car change the gear ratios, but I don't know if this is possible/how it works.

I will try to explain its behavior. On first and second gear it works normal. On third and higher it behaves like when I depress accelerator it shows me the gear in gear indicator, but when I press it it disappears. It makes me think, that the gar ratio is slightly different than the sw data.

Although the gear ratio and speedometer accuracy shouldn't be ruled out I would also want to log wheel speed data in 03-ABS. The VSS (vehicle speed sensor/speedometer) should be calculated based on wheel speed data from 03 so a rusted wheel bearing or flaky WSS might be responsible (and unrelated to the trans swap).

Perhaps first step is to find out from which donor car the gearbox is from and/or the gearbox code, in order to find out it's gear ratios. If the markings on the bell housing are ground down, then perhaps the other markings aren't? See picture...

Alternative method to get an idea of ratios is to tell us how many rpm-s are in 6th gear at 90kmh?

Nope, still not the transmission code, only the gearbox bell housing part number, which a a lot of gearbox codes share.

Anyway, in Elsa I looked through the 0AJ gearbox allocations and drive ratios. The stock NBW has a ratio of 73 : 18 = 4,056 and there seems to be only other transmission with code LHY with a different ratio of 74 : 17 = 4,352. So perhaps this is the mystery gearbox...
