Lighting problem

I have recently replaced the Can bus Gateway Control Unit, '05 Golf GTi, to an updated 7N0 907 530 AG ( which claimed it would solve the battery drain fault ) but it has not cured it.
Since swapping and programming the unit the reversing light and rear fog light do not work. Do I need to get the programming checked again to ensure the appropriate box's have been ticked?

I would love to purchase a VCLS cable, but, they are expensive!!

But will pay for itself after 1 or 2 diagnostics fees paid to a dealer!!!

IMHO without seeing a VCDS Auto-Scan it's very difficult to advise you.

Can Bus Gateway from a LHD fitted in a RHD

I have purchased an updated Can Bus Gateway, for my 05 Golf GTi, from lithuania which may have come from a LHD car, but my car is RHD. I have been told this is why the rear fog light and the back up light do not work, does anyone know whereabouts this info can be found in the VCDS program?
