DMF and clutch, SACHS or LUK and why?

Hi

Both are OEM vendors, both have good reviews from internet and both work...
But sachs is expensier than LUK, is it because of the marketing or is the SACHS really that better, ideas and experiment?

I got LUK for both, for the R32 conversion...

Because it was the cheapest and easiest to get of the two brands :thumbs:

The LUK ones also had the least horrendous shipping cost from the US to NZ, but it was still cheaper than buying here.

LUK has better clutch plate but Sachs won't destroy your gearbox when it breaks, instead of LUK, because of different methods in producing. When LUK breaks, there is 85% chance that dampers from DMF will get out and they will be drilling your gearbox. So i would be good getting a LUK kit, knowing when it wears out again in 100k Miles i need to replace it on time?

Yes, or pay little more for Sachs and don't worry about gearbox when DMF will be getting wrong

Personally I use only Sachs kit's for my customers and I don't have problems with them. Still, It's all up to you.

Maybe better feeling of the clutch, (personally), lasts longer, better stands tuned cars and when it's "not treated gently"
