Hi there, I am into a little mind twisting problem, I had before a VW Golf 7 from 2015 and now I own a VW Golf 7 from 2013. Both of these have the same type of brake hand brake , or at least that is what I tend to believe.
The newer one I could deactivate the buckle alarm and go without any problem to use it normal, it will have the autohold function active , and it will activate the stationary brake whenever I open the driver door
On the other hand, this older one even if I deactivated the buckle alarm is won´t sleep the brake until I couple the buckle or I release the brake manually , when I don´t wear the safety belt the autohold function is not active, and the same goes for the driver door opening when I am into the manual mode, it won´t engage the stationary brake when I leave the car if I don´t activate it for my self.
It is frustrating as hell knowing that it is possible and I have to use the electronic brake like a regular hand brake . Today I came back from the VW Dealer here in Risskov Denmark , where they performed a "action" software update on the e-brake and it performs exactly the same as before.......
So my question is: has anyone encountered this problem before or is just me by being spoiled of having a newer version of the Golf and now I get stuck with this dumb one here ? Can it be done something about it ?
I have tried to deactivate buckle scan into the ABS/brake section but it won´t let me perform the action.......
Suggestions ?
