Golf R rear pad replacment
Looking for step by step procedure or how to for retracting the rear caliper motors to allow replacement of the brake pads.
Car is a 16 Golf R and would also help when the wife needs rears done on her CC.
Thanks in advance

I'm fairly confident that this procedure works for 2016 Golf R: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...AU)_ABS_Brakes
As for the CC, maybe post the auto-scan so we can see how the car is equipped?

Just release the electronic handbrake to retract the pads from the disc. The cylinder itself then is pressed inside using brake caliber tool which turns and at the same time pushes the cylinder inside.
It does not need vcds for the procedure or any other witchcraft
