00562 - Sensor for Oil Level/Temperature (G266)
29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent

Putting vehicle back together after serious dose of repair by Sir Jack: an immobilized ECU and fixed mess of a cluster. Before I connect the battery, I'm attempting to check/correct 00562.
ECU is installed, battery has NOT been connected. The oil level sensor on the 1.8T is located at the bottom of the oil pan.......NOPE.
I see the location, I see the three location holes, but the level sensor location on the pan has never been punched out. I don't seem to have an oil level sensor.

Yet when the car broke down, I received an 00562 DTC as one of the faults.
There is an oil PRESSURE sensor (single wire), coming out of the oil filter/cooler housing. Pulled connector off, No short from connector wire to ground. Wiggled harness, no short.
With connector removed and engine off I'm reading infinity ohms from ground to sensor tip. I was expecting a high impedance but not infinite impedance. If the sensor is not allowing a signal, I'd receive
an "open fault".

Maybe the code was triggered by a messed up cluster?

I'm posting the last scan prior to the ECU and cluster repair:

If Your car does not have this sensor You have to disable oil level/temperature sensor option in Your IPC coding, or ask Jack to do it for You. In case fault is still present after repairs.
Post a fresh scan, please.

Eric,

That is why they call them oil PSI switches no?
Did you install equipment yet and scan for faults after cleared to see what is displayed?

Is it running yet?

Did you know all coding's were matched to your legacy scan?

Why are you relying on data from a FUBAR eeprom and bullshit scan data, get your shit together man?

Did you go back to your original thread & compare yet?
