    2004 A4 1.8T Engine Misfires

This is my first post here and one of very few forum posts, correct me if I'm doing this wrong. Love my Audi's but need some help.
Happened Immediately following replacement of a cracked Air / Smog Pump Check Valve
So a quick back story. Car was noted to run a bit rough on a road trip. Noticed smog pump check valve was cracked and leaking. Duct tape repair got us home nicely running smooth with no issues. Ordered a new part from Rock auto. SKP 058905291K Air / Smog Pump Check Valve (8409.91.0090)CAD$ 2.87 BUT!!! as soon as it was fired up instantly running rough, way worse than with the old cracked (broken barbed hose nipple with 100% leak, prior to duct tape fix!!!). The direction of check valve install double-checked. So it would appear to me, as a total rookie, this was just incredible fluke timing. I also checked all the coils as I just went through a similar rough running (not as rough) of my other (Yes I have 2 same year a4 1.8ts) Anyway this car has fairly high Kms and other major issues such as ABS but I dont want it to end this way. Please help. Here's the codes from the first auto Scan.

Hello and welcome to the VCDS forum OP!

N80 being sorted for open circuit would be a good start and qualifying vacuum leaks no?
Compression check and plugs burn rate condition?
    Any FOD?

    Almost 200,000 miles!

I would hunt down and correct whatever is causing the EVAP Purge Valve - Open Circuit DTC first. That could potentially screw up the fuel trims and cause misfires.

Next, I would clear faults and watch what happens to the fuel trims immediately thereafter.

    -Uwe-
The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Thanks, I have not done anything yet. I was hoping for a quick fix LOL. I will do this diagnosis as suggested. It might take me a couple days to get to this. Stay tuned and thanks for responding.

Thanks UWE, I'll check into the Evap Purge Valve. It may be a couple days before I can get to it.

So checked into this a few days ago. Certainly re-learned my lesson should have just taken a close visual inspection and I would have found this sooner. So the short story is I guess this happened when we were changing oil, shoving arm into unscrew oil filter dislodged(broke it must have been ready to let go and it just needed a little nudge) the vacuum exact part# not yet identified but pretty sure its this one. Vacuum Check Valve Breather 058 133 784 AF, 07C 133 529 A I have temporarily epoxied it back together so just need to source a new one. Looks like it comes as whole assembly. I circled the actual broken bit in red and yellow for what my search turned up as a common assembly.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fse7yrdwf3...29.03.jpg?dl=0 It runs fine now with the temp fix. I guess I'll scan again for giggles. Next stop ABS brakes!!! Cheers
