I'm not sure, specifically whether it's a good idea to encourage peoplke to mess with their ABS coding.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Sometimes I see the pipe symbol for MQB ABS Coding Labels which indicates ASAM label coding, but there is none when you click on coding.
Does something like this exist (experimental labels from ODX data) for these ABS units?

I would need a specific example to look at in order to make an informed comment.

So the label file has "Only limited coding [blah blah blah]", but VCDS sees this as something. And the ASAM data has something similarly unhelpful, a single line indicating "Param to DOP, HEXBYTES", but again, VCDS sees this as something. Thus the '|' indicating that there's information in both the label and the ASAM data. Unfortunately, neither source is actually of much use.
