Hello.

This is my first post. I'm from Denmark and work as an independant technician and problemsolver for auto workshops. I have worked with VCDS for 13 years. But now I have a problem I can't solve myself.

The car is a 2013 Golf 7 which after dealer coded new key lost function of the cruise control. Not long ago, a thread with exactly the same problem was created in this forum, but there are no solution yet as I see it.

I have genuine ODIS, and have tried to recode all the modules to their original coding with SWM. That mysteriously did not solve the problem. I have in collaboration with Niels, tried to experiment a bit with the coding in 01 and 19 but with no luck. The only thing that is not working by now is the cruise control. The customer insists that the problem was not there before the new key was coded. The dealer denies that it have anything to do with the new key they have added, but have offered to start a diagnostics session if he agrees to pay all the cost and the labour, which he of course knows will be expensive. So his regular workshop called me when they could not solve the problem themselves.

The codes I have tried:

No luck.

If I code 01 to have NO cruise control, the faultcode can be deleted.

The cruise control are NOT retrofitted.

There exsits no autoscan from before the key was coded.

Any suggestions?

You have to go to dealer to restore FEC codes in Car, actually VAG is a little bit stupid because some Blackbox are sold in china. A few months ago FEC restored automatically if you do guided functions. But actually you have to restore them manually after do this jobs.

Because matching keys also creates new CP for Cluster and BCM. This is why this happens.

EDIT: I saw You had genuine ODIS.

For everything to work to spec I'd suggest doing following:
1) CP Basic setting. It will rewrite all CP-s. This is just in case to get fresh start.
2) Do Software Configuration. This option can be found in Special Options tab. Manually select module 19(Gateway). This will restore dataset. Seen issues with this after such jobs.
3) Restore FEC. This option is also in Specia Options tab. Restore them in 19 and 5F.
