Evening all,
Long time lurker, first time poster - I recently bought a second hand HEX-V2 (never used or registered, I can register to me if needed) to try and fix a botched recoding job done to my T5 (7E/7F, 2014, panel van) a few years back.
Short backstory: I fitted a towbar with 7 pin wiring when I bought the van but never got around to sorting the recoding since the lights worked fine and I was only moving a bike carrier. Took it to an independent garage who had it for a day, failed to do the very simple steps needed, couldn't follow the instructions, wiped most of the modules when trying to do a firmware update (never established why), needed two trips back to get them to turn on stuff like cruise control and hill start assist again...and still don't have a coded towbar module. The garage went bust shortly after and life got in the way of sorting things completely.
The other week I bought a HEX-V2 and got cracking, and I now have two problems to put to you good people...

I enabled the towbar in the places needed (added 69 to the list, enabled towbar in the engine module, enabled removable towbar in the parking sensors module) and ran into the same problem as the garage - the module thinks there's always a trailer attached, and permanently disables the sensors/shows the trailer graphic on the stereo. An afternoon with probes and spanners, checking fuses, plugging different trailers in, rewiring the plugs etc and I can't find any hint of a fault...the module just thinks there's always a trailer there (going from the diagnostic LED and the behaviour with the stereo).
Any thoughts on that one?

Hopefully a simple one...the indicator lights don't flash when I lock the van. They flash when I unlock it, but that's it. I enabled the audible warning on lock/unlock to test, and it pips on lock but not unlock. I have a suspicion on this one - according to the central electrics measuring values, the left door is operating fine but the right door doesn't exist. And according to the CAN gateway, the van is coded as a shortback/hatchback, which wouldn't have a right door. Does the van think it's a different type, and isn't expecting the other door, and is getting confused when I try to lock it? Would setting the model to something else (e.g cityvan) be better? I don't want to change that setting blindly if it's already correct for a two rear door panel van.
