Hi All,
My Q7 has an issue where the alarm system keeps beeping 45 seconds after locking the car. This precludes me from locking the car which is a bit more than an annoyance. I purchased a Ross-Tech cable and ran a scan on the vehicle. I would appreciate a little help with some of the intricacies of some of the error codes. This is my first attempt at using this system, so it appears a little overwhelming with the amount of data that is presented in the scan. First of all, I was surprised by the number of fault codes which came up on my scan. The one which looks most interesting and possibly related to this problem is Address 46: Central Conv.
This address indicates there is a Subsytem 1 which is Component: LIN BACKUP HORN H03 1301. I suspect I may need to replace the horn at this point. the fault found at this address is:
