Hello, I retrofited 3Q0 980 654 L lane assist camera on my golf 7 2018 and I cant get rid of these fault codes.

First fault is ok, for the other two I dont know what to do.
Do you have any idea what to do?

You need to run the calibration routine per the workshop guide using ODIS and the correct calibration board.
Also your steering rack is not coded for HCA.

Did you run the sensor fusion CAN wires to ACC/Front Assist radar? The Local Data Bus DTC could be because of this.

Here is my full auto scan.

I connected the wires from ACC to A5 module. I bought cables from Kufatech and connected per instructions.
For calibration I need to have only one error.
I coded the steering rack, so I dont know what else could be there. There are not a lot of options to change on that module.

Errors in my autoscan are because of coding I guess. Error in ACC is present from new car, but the ACC is working with no problem. Error is not there all the time.
Before coding there was Error in ACC and A5 camera.

There should be a documented (it has an appropriate label) coding bit in module 13 which turns on the sensor fusion CAN interface on the ACC side. After that the databus DTC should clear from A5, but ACC will cease to function. Then is the time for A5 calibration, if the steering DTC is also fixed. After calibration, A5 should be clear of DTC-s and ACC should also work. The "FAULT_BV1_FEHLER" DTC from ACC should also clear - at least it did in my experience.

Coding aside you need to calibrate the camera. Once this has been done most of the errors will disappear. Did you car have a camera before or is it a complete retrofit? If so did you change the windscreen?

@myounus I did a complete retroifit and I changed the windscreen too. I have to solve almost all errors before calibrating otherwise calibration cant be done. Only one specific error is permitted.

I've done many and it makes no difference with errors. Once calibrated the basic settings including VIN are stored to the camera. If you can clear all faults and re-scan we can see what's remaining.

@myounus I heard from multiple sources that you cant calibrate the camera if you have more than one error in A5 camera. The only accepted error is calibration missing. Did you managed to calibrate it with more errors?

Yes. I fitted one and had lots of errors.
Calibrated it first and then completed the coding afterwards. Ive calibrated cameras in 3 different garages here in the UK, the dealers, auto windscreens and Autoglass. Apart from VW who use ODIS, the others use third party equipment which all do the same job.

ODIS is tied down as GFF is a pain. Third party equipment allows more flexibility. Believe it or not I've been with a master tech who asked me to show him/ code with VCDS as he couldn't replicate a fault in ODIS. All equipment has its place and good points/ bad points.

Maybe just ODIS needs only one error for calibration and others dont. I will go to CarGlass and I am almost certain that they dont use ODIS.

Edit: This evening I tried what @siLc said and after clearing all errors I was left with only one, calibration missing. Only thing I did was activating lane assist in ACC module. ACC is now not operational. I will report back after calibration. That is a great progress

I am back, calibration went trough without a problem. Lane assist, ACC, road sign recognition is now fully operational

Of course its never that easy: I now have problem with activation TJA. I went trough a lot of coding instructions and compare them so I could do mine. There is no TJA or lane assist on the Infotainment screen. On the MDF is only lane assist out of all new desired options. I realy tried a lot of things.
I dont have option to turn on TJA and heading control in module 44 - steering assist and no options to turn on TJA in A5 camera. I was told that parameters I got include TJA, is it possible that they dont?

Does somebody know anything about parameters, maybe could find them somewhere?
Do I need new parameters for module 44?

in order to have TJA you need to upload dataset to the camera. that is not coding and VCDS cannot help you.

You will not have any options to set TJA. Only thing from which you can tell TJA is working is when you activate ACC under 60km/h. The lane assist icon should turn green. from that you will know that it’s working.

Normally lane assist only activates when driving over 60km/h but with TJA it activates under that when ACC is activated.

It sounds like you've got the correct camera as I don't think it's possible to parameterise the 5G0 cameras with TJA.

Yes he has. 3Q0 cameras from G version onwards support TJA.

And you’re right, no 5Q0 cameras support TJA.

@downtime - I know that about using it. But for coding I thought there must be some option to code TJA in A5 camera. Looks like there is nothing with "traffic jam" name in the A5 camera and thats ok.

Yesterday I managed to activate adaptive lane guidance and TJA. Before I had only lane assist. I was thinking how can I solve this problem and then I thought, my menus are not showing/working correctly, maybe this is blocking something and tried to change intervention from "early on menu" to just "early" and everything started to work like it should. I know its strange but that happened. Now Only thing left to do is to sort out the MMI and MFD menus for this retrofit.

I have exactly the same problem as @symb has/had, I read his thread about retrofiting the camera. There is lane assist in the MFD and says not available, there is adaptive lane guidance on the MMI and it is greyed out. I will go trough his adaptations and compare them to mine.
