For my T5 van there is no coding for aux heater behaviour. I knpow that German VCDS have a label file for it called: 7E0-819-008.clb
That´s not included in English version (latest) I have HEX NET pro version.
I am pretty much confused about language version difference ?!

That label is pretty much needed in order to configure whether aux heater will warm up cabin, engine or both. It is getting cold up here in Finland.

I tried to copy file to my version but obviously it will not work just like that.

Did you try renaming 7E0-819-008.clb to 7E0-819-008-D.clb ?

Known coding for this module (hand-translated from German info):

00?xxx2: Axuiliary Functions
0 = Start-Stop not active/installed
2 = Start-Stop is active/installed

00x?xx2: Remote Control
0 = Remote Control/Telestart not installed
1 = Remote Control/Telestart is installed

00xx?x2: 2/3-Wegeventil (I have no idea what this is)
2 =
3 =

00xxx?2: HVAC Type:
0 = Just Heating
2 = A/C with Climatic type controls
3 = A/C with Climatronic type controls

Now it is getting hotter :)
Those makes sense.
00xx?x2: 2/3-Wegeventil
This is exactly the thing I want to sort out. It is a magnet valve controlling water flow from heater.
I have now "3" and it have to defined as cabin only. As it is 3 there might be atleast three other options left 0,1,2
Possible choices I can imagine are engine, cabin, both. Maybe I will give a try and test 0 =>1022

Well, '2' appears to be a value that has been seen, but unfortunately, neither '3' nor '2' have been documented as to their meaning.

PS: I changed the thread topic to something more specific/informative.

Confirmed. "0" will heat both cabin and engine. Works pretty good. Is there any known way to could get this coding included in VCDS English delivery ? Personally I don´t understand why these must be language dependent.
Thinking about low level bits, using 0, 2 , 3 makes lot of sense.

Could use any additional bits of information also for
Address 18: Aux. Heat Labels: None
Part No: 7E0 815 071 B
Component: J737__Standheizung 0605
Revision: 00085000 Serial number: 09019275F00000

Shop #: WSC 02739 790 00000
VCID: 2412E621B2D281C78DF-8070
as in German version there seems to be a label file also for this one (7E0-815-071.clb dated Jan-06, 2013). Thanks.

There's no coding info in the German file for that one other than:
"0000031 = Standard"

I was dealing with this quite recently. Coding goes as follow:

00?xxxx: Auxiliary Functions
0 = Start-Stop not active/installed
2 = Start-Stop is active/installed

00x?xxx: Remote Control
0 = Remote Control/Telestart not installed
1 = Remote Control/Telestart is installed

00xx?xx: 2/3-Wegeventil (I have no idea what this is)
0 = Without 2/3 Valve and without climatronic/climatic
1 = With 2/3 Valve and without climatronic/climatic
2 = Without 2/3 Valve and with climatic/climatronic
3 = With 2/3 Valve and with climatic/climatronic

00xxx?x: HVAC Type:
0 = Just Heating
2 = A/C with Climatic type controls
3 = A/C with Climatronic type controls

00xxxx?: Auxiliary Water Heater
1 = No Auxiliary Water Heater Installed
2 = Auxiliary Water heater installed

Just to clarify - is this aux. heater's automatic start/stop-functionality at cold temperatures (usually set to fire up below +5C and shut down when coolant at approx. 70C)??? :confused: Not related to engine's automated start/stop?
