Hey! :)

I'm looking at a VW Passat MY02 and its abs malfunction.

The owner had driven with cool and damp weather their car until the distance between the instrument cluster to become the abs and traction control lights.

Parts have been replaced / tested:
- 2 pcs units of ABS (Brain and Hydraulics block)
- 3 pcs brake pressure sensors
- 1 pcs new brake pedal sensor
- The current stationary abs unit has the following non-resettable fault code: 01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201) 57-00 - Electric Circuit Failure.
- The other ABS unit had not received the coding by the car electrical repair.

I run out of ideas for this problem. Anyone have any repercussions on how to stop the malfunctioning lights?

Have You checked wiring from G201 to ABS module?

We have not yet checked the electrical connections.
Does anyone know any websites, which could be studied electrical diagram of the VAG-Group's cars?

What does MVB 005-3 shows?

This looks like open/short to plus condition.

Okay. So does this mean that the owner needs to start investigating the electrical connections more closely?

Problem solved!

Original "repaired" abs unit, replaced by a workshop to another used abs unit. This is followed by coding to the original abs unit and calibration of the G85 sensor.

There is strong suspicion that the original "repaired" abs unit was not correctly repaired.

Prior to this operation, the power cords had been checked and there were power cords in good condition and voltages OK.
