    The other modules in the original autoscan all have WSC number in them.

    This setup is very similar to my 2x 2006 Tourans - one early-ish, one late; and I can match keys to them, but I have WSC's in mine.
    Could you check if your immo id is WVX or WVZ ?
    Getting a confirmation (or disaproval) on the WVX/WVZ difference would be nice.

    Do you have an example on how the format should be?
    I dont want to put some random things in there that could cause issues in the future.
    Or is this something that can be changed many times?
    I am not familiar with WSC abbreviaton... What does it mean?

    edit: The forum software translated this to WorkShop Code but I am still not sure what it is or what it is used for. trackability and insurance?

    See our FAQ entry 2.9.

    It has no functional effect. It is just used to record "who did it". In the case of a 2006 car, this is irrelevant. My suggestion: Use the last four digits of your phone number with a leading '0'.

    For Importer Number, use the one for your country. USA is 444. Canada is 999. Norway should have one too.

    For Equipment number, use the last four digits of your interface serial number with a leading '0'.

    This approach practically guarantees you will have a unique set of numbers. VCDS will, in some cases, offer you: 12345 123 12345, but this is being blocked in some control modules in newer cars.

    All are VWZ - both 2006's and the 2004 that's going to be a trailer. And also the 2006 Golf Donor... who's identity has been stolen by my Touran.

    The Audi A3 donor had an AUX serial and was immo4C, but I didn't use any electronics - they were from the golf (which coincidentally was made the same month as my Touran)

    My Wifes 2006 is a particularly late one (WVGZZZ1TZ6W165294), with the "normal" wipers like the 2007 facelift model got, as well as the non-peeling interion trims. I've not looked up it's production date though, but it must be fairly late 2006, as mine was May '06 and still had all the old features.

    1K0 959 753 G is the part number for the remote part,

    The key blade and immb chip should be - 1T0 837 246x INB or INF

    It makes sense when you point it out like that.

    Is the actual partnumber marked somewhere on the key?
    I tried looking for it but could not find anything.
    I did not take a note of the packaging the key came in

    Im having the same problem with a 2007 Jetta brand new VW key and wont program to car.
    They have supplied me a INB = (which guessing) is Immb 4 chip
    I need to get the car back to check what system is fitted but I think I need a INF = (Guessing again) Immb 4C

    Good point and I will contact my supplier to see what they have in their system regarding my delivery.

    But in my case I am at least one step earlier than this.
    I cannot "activate" programming at all.
    As a pure test of functionality I tried to reduce the number of keys but could not make that happen either.
    My immo is "stuck" at 2 keys.
    Do you know of a good video that shows the intimate details of immo key adaptation on mk5 vw?
    Especially the importance of "save"ing or "test"ing in the VCDS adaptation menu.
    And whether or not I should exit this menu before cycling my keys in the ignition.
    .. Or maybe this doesnt matter after chaning the number of keys and clicking "save"?

    After hitting save there is a dialog box that appears with info on what you have saved in what field and so on.
    I dont recall the details on mine but would you be so kind and do a screenshot of yours the next time you do this procedure?

    The devil is in the details and I need to chase the gremlins out of my immo system.
