Touran 20tdi 2004 2 codes recurring

Plugged in vcds , it says
2 Faults Found:
19794 - Control Circuit for Glow Plug Controller 1: Electrical Malfunction
P3338 - 000 - -
17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer
P1570 - 000 - -
Codes can be cleared but they come right back ,and it still doesnt start . it fires then dies after a few seconds
Any ideas im thinking maybe ecu issue . as it has 2 issues keep coming back .

I'm thinking immobiliser issue, but I'm also thinking the more knowledgeable on here won't be helping until you post a complete scan

Yep, it's just about impossible to comment on an immobilizer issue without seeing the the other modules.

Just as an add on .Im not a vcds expert. I did a full scan but it appeared it wouldnt talk to the other modules .at the end, the only results i got were as ive already mentioned.
I have tried going into other modules as well as engine ,but it just returns no results after a few attempts at communicating .

Isn't VCDS Lite only for K-line cars? Touran is CAN.

Early Tourans had ECUs (and TCUs, if equipped) that would respond both via K-Line and CAN.

All the other systems in the car require a CAN connection for access.
