^^^ hmm........ here's the compare table for both hex17 modules:

    Code:
    Name	Old module AID Module
    Byte	Hex Binary Hex	Binary
    0	07	00000111	03	00000011
    1	AD	10101101	AD	10101101
    2	09	00001001	41	01000001
    3	08	00001000	08	00001000
    4	2B	00101011	2B	00101011
    5	90	10010000	90	10010000
    6	00	00000000	00	00000000
    7	08	00001000	08	00001000
    8	00	00000000	00	00000000
    9	08	00001000	08	00001000
    10	6A	01101010	6A	01101010
    11	00	00000000	00	00000000
    12	00	00000000	04	00000100
    13	00	00000000	00	00000000
    14	00	00000000	00	00000000
    15 00000000	00	00000000
    16 00000000	00	00000000
    17 00000000	00	00000000
    18 00000000	00	00000000
    19 00000000	00	00000000
Tank version is set by Byte 2, Bit 0-2. Both are set to Tank characteristic curve, Version 2.

I'm not sure what Byte 12, Bit 2 does on AID module (Radio station listings?) - perhaps someone else can advise?

Looks to be dimming. Terminal 58xt vs. Terminal 58xd. But don't ask me what the difference is.

Byte 5, bit 6 should be "Powertrain hybrid", but that's not set.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

not really sure since on a lot of modules on mqb first 3 bytes are vehicle coding and some options (derivatives) so worth a try, also you can put a GTI or GTD AID in diesel or gas car and it will display correct RPM's probably info from ECU but a lot of other stuff is coding and adaptations channels

This is coding from GTD facelift with OEM AID:

    Part No SW: 5G1 920 791 A HW: 5G1 920 791 A
    Component: KOMBI 407 3193
    Coding: 07AD11182F80000801886B011401000000000000
    Shop #: WSC 01357 011 00200

    ROD: EV_DashBoardVDDMQBAB_009_VW37.rod

    No fault code found.

Believe me update firmware off gateway and problem solved.
