Hello everyone,

I need help understanding what the Brake Assist Adaptation setting does when it changes See attached picture Basically my car hesitates and has no power on any of the setting except 2 (default is 0 "average") Also if anyone performs a throttle body adaptation which I think resets this brake assist adaptation the care drives fine on default setting for 150 miles

My idea is that something is wrong somewhere that is causing default setting to have a hesitation

I drove 3 other Passats same year/engine and they all drive on default setting like mine drives on setting 2

Any help with this will be appreciated

Brake assist settings are part of the design for the ADAS system in VW. You would be adapting the effort required on pushing the pedal before the brakes engage. If you change this setting you would also need to run basic settings to re-calibrate.
