2013 audi a3 2.0 tdi hatchback 5 door
HELLO
i did a retrofit a VIRTUAL COCKPIT. calibrated and removed compoment protection but i have lost my drive select, and cruise control. the auto stop and start works sometimes only. i havd got mib2 works perfect. do not know what 4E is cant get rid of it
new steering wheel lights and paddelswork but no butons are working. . Been going mad trying to sort it out, HELP NEEDED THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE.

It looks like you are using an older Ross-Tech cable (e.g. HEX-USB) but your car has modules that use CAN messages that it cannot read (that's what is causing the Extended UDS and Interface not compatible messages) so to read the fault details and understand what the problem is with 4E you should consider upgrading to a HEX-V2 or HEX-NET.
This is caused by VAG changing their CAN messages to ones that the older cables cannot read, not because of a decision by Ross-Tech.

I'm kinda scratching my head, wondering what such a module is doing in a 2013 car.
Oh wait, it's not a 2013. WAUZZZ8V5EA002827 is clearly a 2014. But I'm still surprised to see that.

I have purchased one and it should be coming tomorrow hex-v2. I do not know what the 4e is. Doing my head. Its not even ticked in can gateway installation list. After retrofit the instrument doesn't recognise the drivers door. It says shift to p. But does not show in auto scan.

You need to restore FEC to the gateway module.
When CP is removed, it also clears the installed FEC. Drive select is a SWaP feature, so it needs to be restored to the gateway using ODIS online.

Yes.
Restore fec to gateway and you will get cruise control back, drive select, and also fix the incorrect coding fault on powertrain
