Golf MKVII - dealership coded extra key and modules lost

hello everybody,

Client went to the dealership to have a 2nd key programmed as the car didn't bring any as it was imported used from USA, after they programmed it EPC light present on the dash, bluetooth connection lost from MIB and selectable driver modes (eco, comfort, sport) lost. Client is now so no chance to have any prior information.

I will check tomorrow and post, it doesn't make sense what they did to disable stuff on the car it doesn't make sense if it is just a key programming and they said, hey that is normal it will work in a couple of days oh and EPC will shut off by itself.

sam: it's a very long shot because the auto-scan doesn't show an error when the Gateway tried to unsuccessfully poll a fictitious ACC module.

Try recode ECU with some different option , then recode it back to original coding .It may work.

The problem is the original coding seems to be tampered, or you say use the same string after changing some bits.

Careful Dave, it may have been Niels who wrote the English data for that; and English is not his first language.

I do not think it was Niels, but suspect it was another person for who English is not their native (or first) language. There are a lot of us at (or associated with) RT for whom that is the case -- even me. English has been my primary language for 50+ years, but it wasn't my first.

FWIW, the above boo-boo has been "fixed in source".

I'm still confused myself, maybe that's why I come across like an asshole, English wasn't my first language either, I was an experiment.

Can you tell it failed & really screwed me up?

OP I like Marin's coding idea to default and reset the eeprom..........

Alternate code and save then terminal 15 key reset, then power up and code it back key off again & wait for a valid ATR possibly?

I could have done it, but no, I have copied them all in Danish translation, just to explain the abbreviation ABS.
Let us say, it was just an check if somebody is using our text

And Dana, there are about 67 files more to correct

Second, Sometimes when you recode module with exactly same coding fix problem. With long coding helper you can not recode right a way with same coding because it will not let you do it, you have to chnage one bit to recode it , then go back and just change it to original.

since you lost Driving Profiles and bluetooth they is a high chance that they messed up the FeC codes. if the car was stock I would go back to dealer and insist to have a SVM SPEC VS ACTUAL performed on all modules (at least the ones with errors).

If it's due to missing FeC codes then that's something a dealer who knows what they are doing can fix easily, sounds like find another dealer.
