Where to start. Wrecked vehicle purchased at salvage as a second winter car. All damage was superficial, Passenger Fender replaced, New Valeo Radiator, Rad Cradle, Intercooler from known working vehicle, bumper cover. New control arms, tie-rods, complete brakes all around. Everything passed body integrity and safety with flying colors. I try to do things right, and not twice.

The vehicle cold starts, runs rich, sputters and tries to maintain idle at 800RPM, then misfires, and stalls. Sometimes it rough idles and misfires through it and recovers, warms and run okay. There seems to be a lack of bottom end power. Going through the gears there is little low end power, for example in second gear at 1400RPM to 2300RPM it sounds like it's really fighting, at about 3000RPM once the turbo spools it pulls like crazy, there is almost a surge of power, it hauls.

Things I've done;

CTS was showing bad in VCDS, Ohm test showed 4800 Ohms on the ECM side pinning, (was black style), changed to new OEM (green) from dealer.
New fan temp switch (black style) changed to new OEM (green) from dealer.
New Coil Packs, changed out to BREMI from Urotuning.com
New Spark Plugs NGK, gapped .30

I have cleaned the Charge Air Temp Sensor, it was pretty gummed up. Used MAF cleaner.
I have cleaned the MAF.
I have cleaned the Throttle Body, and ran Adaptation, this seemed to make things better, but the problem came back.

Unplugging the MAF it seems to start fine, run fine, and drive fine.

Any input is appreciated.

Got a new maf. Definitely runs better, cold starts with some hesitation still and still rich. Checked N80, works fine.

The N80, I removed and hooked up alligator clips and tapped on a battery with one lead while I blew into it like EXOVCDS does in one of his youtube videos. I did this for a solid 3 minutes with no failure.

Not sure what you mean by OXS, you mean 02 sensor?

I just drove it to the store, cold start, and it's basically back to where it was now, maybe worse. No engine light, and no codes.

Both, ever use a propane torch to heat an element to clean a sensor after about 5 minutes?

Cleaned both sensors. No corrosion or water in plugs, wires good. Minor build up of soot, nothing too crazy from a visual standpoint. reassembled everything and car ran great for about 10 minutes. Then started misfiring like crazy.

Seems I need a new O2 sensor. But why is it now throwing codes for the SAI? Is that a by-product of the misfires?

Seems #2 is really the only one misfiring. #1 has one misfire and the others have none.

Crummy forward OXS sensor, faulty or clone?

Did you check Spark coil/intake gasket/injector for # 2 or verify mechanical's of zyl to swap to another and see if fault moves?

Is ECT and IAT working as specified?

It seems to be a oem factory sensor. Faulty it seems. Ordered new Bosch from rock auto and it'll be here Thursday.

As for swapping things around, that's a negative. I ran short on time and had to go to work. Coils are new, but possible there's a faulty new coil. I'll swap and try tomorrow. If the results don't change I'll pull plug and check sparkplug for wetness and condition. Friend is bring me his compression tester so I hope that rules out anything mechanical, at the very least points in the right direction.

I've never pulled a manifold on one of these, going to watch some YouTube and see how that is. Are the gaskets reusable? Or just follow best practice and use new ones while I'm in there?

RTFB guidelines or use your best engineering judgement no?

Fair point, I'll check my manual and go from there. Not being lazy, just honestly didn't think of it.
