Having taken a 'whole vehicle' database of my vehicle I would like to know that if I ever need to do a restore of the 'whole vehicle' can this be done OR has each each module address to be restored separately?

There’s no option to restore adaptation values to their default. Only option is to use ODIS with factory connection and use online configuration of the module.

And if you’re referring to basic setting ”Reset adaptation”. Do not use it, it will wipe out the entire module contents. Restoring that is out of VCDS’ scope on most modules then.

If you've made Raw Hex backups and you wish to restore them, I believe you have to do it one module at a time.

Don't think your right on this one.
I definitely have the option to restore adaptation values from my Raw-Hex database using my HEX-V2 kit.

Yes, I'm sure you do. But for all the control modules ("whole car")?

Personally, I wouldn't, even if it's possible. :)
