Hello guys, as is known, VCDS doesn´t have the capability to deactive ´starting vibration´ in some 7.5 GTI´s.
For those who don't know, starting vibration is the popular name for a torque limiter that VW has introduced on MQB platform to reduce wheel hop. On the street, it works like a traction control. The problem is that, even with the ASR and ESC turned off, the car cuts the power when the wheels spins, making literally impossible to accelerate in 1st / 2nd, even if it is stock. In my case, I have a Stage 2, pulling around 340 HP so this is also more unbearable.
This problem started to be seen on 7.5 GTI´s with production date from May 18. On cars with production date before that, it is possible to deactive it without any problem.
I´ve scanned two 7.5 GTI´s, one from April 18´ and other from October 18´. The ABS module part number is exactly the same, but I´m seeing differences in PART SW#. My idea is to replace my ABS unit to one from an older model to be able to deactive it. It is possible to change the PART SW #? How does PART SW# works or affects in this case? Is that causing the adaptation channel to be ´not avalaible´ , while in others car it shows the starting vibration setup?
