Yes. At the dealer, the parts catalog (ETKA), they can input a car's VIN, then do a "SDC-CODE" search, and find that a J526 is a radio navi unit, part number blah blah blah.
As best I can tell, PL24 doesn't have this handy function.

eh... when you first scan any given control module, on the Open Controller screen, the VAG number is the part number that control module.
So in that example, 4F2 910 115 B is the part number of the control module. Also that info will be in the Auto-Scan as well... may be refered to as the "Part No SW:"
But most electrical items do not list part number info via the data port. For example, a N276 or a G40. But give ETKA the VIN and then do a SDC-CODE search and it will pull up those items and part numbers.
Our label files are not always able to be opened for viewing and don't always have part number references in them.

I would take it as an indication that the Instrument cluster thinks one should be.
There's a sort of a crude installation list in Adaptation channels 60, 61, and 62 of those clusters. Post the values from those three channels please.

I still think they should put the assigned number after the part number in description & to expose this data more clear to parts departments and techs.
Channel 062 is set to 3 currently, and the Telephone DTC isn't stored anymore so I'd leave it as-is. For future reference, those are additive and the complete chart for channel 062 is:

Is that +10 decimal or +0x10 hexadecimal? If decimal then that would be the same as Telematics (NA) plus Telematics (RoW) w/o MFSW???
Hmm.. I wonder if that's brain fart on the label writer's case. Those numbers are decimal, and I can see the possibility that it should have been +16.
Back in the 4B days, the NAR Telematics unit was quite different than the ROW one.
