Help needed please
I have had this issue for about 2 weeks now. I cleared it a few time but keeps coming back.
Last week the car (Scirrocco) let me down and i thought it was the cambelt as there seemed to be no compression.
I got the RAC out and he said all symtoms point to the EGR valve.
I took it off and stripped and cleaned the EGR. I Also cleaned the throttle valve as they are right next to each other.
Car was fine for a 20 mile run but this morning before i set off the code popped up before i even moved the car.
It also is ticking over fast between 1200 and 1400 RPM
Question is, do I have to set up position sensor or do I have to replace the valve (or anything else)?
