Q7 auto gearbox mileage

Hi was told a while back that it is possible to check the mileage of the car through the gearbox as a way to identify if someone has in the past doctored the clocks of the car to show a lower mileage but struggling to find any details on how this is done

Maybe. Do we have an Auto-Scan from this Q7 somewhere so we can see exactly what TCU it has?

I have not seen this car yet just prepping for going to see it and know where I am searching with vcds

Well, not all Q7s use the same transmission, and even if the transmission is mechanically similar, the software in the TCUs varied. This makes it nearly impossible to give a definitive answer without seeing a scan.
