Hello, got the Suspension System Fault warning.i change G78 sensor(second hand) but still shows same code .any help or advice.Thank you!

Does anything change when you unplug that sensor?

How about when you unplug one of the other sensors at a different corner?

Hello,

Could you please provide us with a Controller Channel Map of the J250-Electronic damping control unit from this vehicle?

There should be some more Measuring Value Blocks that will be helpful, also this will help use create a label file for this controller.

With VCDS use the [Controller Channels Map] button, on the [Applications Screen] page.

Once the pop-up is present, enter in [14] in the "Single Controller Address", no Login needed, then click Measuring Values and Adaptations and then [Go!], VCDS will the proceed to capture the data from the controller and there will be two files created. [14-4F0 910 376.PLA] and [14-4F0 910 376.PLB].

Please post this information using the

In the mean time, check connection on the N336-Front left shock absorber damper adjustment  valve for any connection/corrosion issues, damage, etc... , see the Audi SSP Audi RS 6  Self-Study Programme 431 for more information on the J250-ECD Control Module (electronically controlled damping).

Note: Since this vehicle is using the J250 (RS6 models) and not the J197, the G78 is actually the N336

Thank you for sending the requested information.

Have a look at the Measuring Value blocks below from your log. it would appear that the 5v ref in MVB-002 is okay.

In MVB group [062] field (1) is displaying a value of 0.0%, this value should be closer to [10.0%]. This field is for the N336-Front left shock absorber damper adjustment valve and has a typical range from 10.0% to 75.0%.

A value of 0.0% would indicate there a short or open in the signal wire.

Looking at the wiring diagram for the [Damping suspension system - Audi RS6], you can see that the J250 has 5 wires to each of the N336, N337, N338 and the N339, located in each of the four comers of the vehicle. What the wiring diagrams do not show are the details of each wire, it would appear in each of the strut assemblies, there are the controls for dampening/motor and hall sensor.

I would back probe the right front N337 and record all the values and compare it to the Left side, the N336, with the key-on and using a battery maintainer to prevent inconsistencies. If there is no difference, you may need to check the J250 and it's wiring and connections.

I would also consider swapping the right side strut assembly over to the left side or instead of all that work, make a jumper harness from the right front side strut to the left front side connector and see if the fault clears on the left side. If so, you can then suspect there is a failure of the N336-Left Front Dampening Adjustment Valve. If there is a fault with the hall sensor, the complete strut/shock is replaced, parts do not appear to be available separately, check you local parts department for details.
