    Unhappy 2007 Audi TT (8J) 3.2l (BUB motor)

    I have had the car about a month. Came back from our two and a half week vacation. On the first drive experienced overheating. the issue was that a sensor on the radiator was original and corroded. Replaced the sensor and coolant so now normal engine temp. The car started idling and running a bit rough. Connected my VAG-COM USB Hex-Can and ran the utility. I saw the misfires on cylinders 3 and 5. I replaced the coil packs and the misfires are now gone, but rough idle remains. Frustrated, so I ran the scan and looked at the engine readiness.

    I looked at the readiness report as well and that appears to lead me to the Oxygen sensors.

    I did a visual inspection of the connectors for the front O2 sensors and reconnected them. I will run the motor in a bit and look at the O2 sensor data. I have not checked the lambda sensor that after the catalytic converter yet. I have not found the connector pinouts for the 6-pin oxygen sensors and values I should check for with a multimeter on this model car as of now.

    Any suggestions on this/ The motor idles rough, but if I give it a little gas I can hear the smooth power is there. I don't want to drive the car and possibly ruin the Catalytic converter.

    I will post new VAG-COM data as I acquire it from the tests.

    Did you adapt the TV and have you verified the MAF?

    The TV error is as a result of upgrading the Concert Entertainment system to an Audi RNS-e navigation plus unit.

    I have not verified the MAF. I will do that today. Thank you for the suggestion.

    OK. Unplugged the MAF and listened to the IDLE. It made no difference in the idle, so I plugged the connector back in.

    Ah. Silly me. There is a CD/TV selection oin the RNSE Nav plus and a mention of an error with it in the log.

    Throttle valve does make much more sense, considering.

    How do I "adapt" the throttle valve?

    I changed the spark plugs about thirty minutes ago. I used the NGK Iridium IZKR7B plugs that are reputed to be the best. Only #3 sparkplug appeared to be a bit moist. There was no change in the rough idle. It still has plenty of power when I give it some gas.

    I have a compression tester and new vacuum hose on the way that should arrive over the next day or so.

    I just finished performing the Throttle Body Alignment as shown in the YouTube video.
    The end result was ADP OK.
    Any suggestions as to why I have the secondary Air Injection: Failed or incomplete error message?

    Did you do readiness tests for the car in VCDS 0x01-15 script or manually?
