What’s the difference between soot measured and calculated
I have been having my car doing regen it went away and stopped reving a little while ago then come back I drove at 40/50mph air con on 2500 rpm for 15/20 mins a couple of trips before when I scanned it was at 18.00g now it’s down to 8.01g on the calculated and -2.26 on the measured
What is the good soot levels is it as low as possible

Cheers Matt

I believe that Measured is based on the differential pressure sensor, while calculated is the ECU's best guess as to how much soot "should" have accumulated.

Check differential pressure readings with key on, engine off, and again with the engine at idle.

Ok cheers for that I did have that up but couldn’t remember what I was I will give it a go see the difference
I’m just glad the soot is down from before now the car shouldn’t hand on the revs where is wants to do a regen

Hi uwe

Plugged in to my car this morning and the differential pressure readings was 2hPa with engine off and then idle it was at 8hPa reved to 2500 and was at 25hPa
I’m not 100% what these readings are though is that what I should be expecting ?
Cheers Matt

Also a thought I don’t seem to be able to have measuring blocks on my engine module it’s greyed out for some reason how I see my reading are on advance measuring values

That's because your engine ECU uses UDS protocol.

Should be 0 with the engine not running, and a very low number at idle.

But we're missing context here. Have you posted an Auto-Scan from your car someplace on this forum so we can see exactly what engine and ECU you've got?

Yes I have I think I will try and find it

So having a -2.26 reading kinda says I have a faulty sensor ?

I'm not sure. A negative number is certainly puzzling.

This was my other post with a Auto scan there are zero faults also
It is very strange as I would expect a fault code if it was fault sensor

Uwe did you see my reading when I checked the differential pressure readings

Yes, I went back and saw them.

What do you have in this measuring value?
IDE00428 -- Particle filter: offset for differential press.

Is this ECU mapped/chipped?

Uwe the IDE00428 particle filter offset is 1hPa
With just ignition on

And the same at idle
