Hello - VW Fox 2007 Horn Failure - Assistance Needed ...

    Hello

A first post, from Standish near Preston in the UK.

I am seeking assistance with my 2007 VW Urban Fox - WVWZZZ5ZZ74026661

The front horn failed some time ago (located behind the front bumper) - the horn itself works OK with a 12v battery.
I assumed that it was the clock-spring, but replacing the original clock-spring wit a new one has not solved the problem.

The 2007 Fox does not appear to have a conventional fuse-relay configuration, and I believe that the horn is activated by one of the on-board modules ?

As a niche model, the Fox does not get as much coverage as it's larger bretheren, so I have been working on the assumption that it's related to a Polo 9Z.

I'm new to VCDS, and don't have much of a clue where to start diagnosing the fault.
Any useful assistance would be much appreciated.

Here is a full scan of the vehicle, produced an hour or so ago - no obvious faults ?

Since the the horn itself works, and the car doesn't know what the problem is (as evidenced by the lack of fault codes), then the next step is to get wiring diagrams and figure out what actually does switch the horn on and off.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

I was expecting that I can view the horn press signal at the input to one of the modules, and to attempt to activate the horn via one of the control blocks.

Can anyone assist with the location of data blocks for the logic flow through the horn push through to the horn output, please.
