Cannot code RNS-E - Error 31: Request out of range

Hi

I have an A6 C5 2004 with a RNS-E unit that I'm unable to code. Whatever I put in I always get the same message "Error 31: Request out of range"
Everything works as it should which is a bit surprising as the current softcoding is now 0020000. I think the correct coding should be 0512118.
It's also impossible to code the TV-Tuner.

I'm looking into this because I wanted to add AUX, and I also like to have no fault codes.

I would suggest going for a very basic coding first off to see if the RNS-E will accept A6 coding (not all hardware/firmware combinations will), so try 0505111 and see if that is accepted.

If not then the problem is that the hardware/firmware combination you have MAY be one of those that won't accept A6 coding.

Well what do you know! The car accepted both the codes I mentioned. I must have tried some other codes earlier on based on the VCDS help blob. I probably tried 052xxxx.
I can't delete the "Perform Adaption" error code though. There was 0 at Channel 1 so I added the tire circumference. Channel 18 is 1 (S3 start screen) it is however impossible to set it to 0. Many other channels cannot be set like speech recognition language but I suppose it can be because the unit has no speech recognition and probably does not support different startup screens.
