Hello,
I have a 2016 VW Jetta S 1.4l that I am having trouble with.
I have the red steering wheel light on as well as a flashing ABS light.
I have no communication with the steering control module (J500) or the steering angle sensor (G85). I have checked the wiring to the rack and showed 12v at the connection at the rack from the fuse box. I made the assumption that the rack was bad because it was getting power, but not communicating. I replaced the rack with a used rack (40k mi) from a salvage car and cleared all the DTC codes. I was planning on doing the basic setting, but there is still no communication with either the rack or the steering angle sensor.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
