Did exit and re-start VCDS after changing the WSC, Importer, and Equipment Number on the Options screen? Those changes do not "take" until you do that.

12345 123 12345 is known to fail in some modules (we think VAG decided too many people with aftermarket scan tools were using those.

02391 785 00200 is a factory code and may not be recognized as a change.

    Try something like: 15243 234 01369

Also, please post exact error message you're getting when the coding fails.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

    Hi Uwe,

I tried again using your suggestion and still no luck, the error in full is:

    This workshop Identification:
    WSC 13452 Importer 389 Equipment 99762
Was rejected by the control module.
    The command will probably fail
    Please change your values

I press ok then I get:

    Error Unknown (0x00)

This happens whether ive set the set the Security Access or not.

OK, I'm stumped. Remind me, which module is this that you're trying to code?

Hi Uwe, I managed to get everything working so thanks for your assistance on that.

However I now have a much bigger problem, I was coding 5F (60B) which is now where the old GEM menu items are enabled. I enabled Ambient lighting there however during the coding i stepped on the usb lead which unplugged for the laptop. I reconnected and now it will not read 5F I get "No response form controller" also the MMI will not power up, centre screen says "MMI is swithched off operation not possible", how ever the power button does nothing.

Would disconnecting the battery fix it or trip to the dealer?????

My stupidity even astonishes me sometimes!

Try the battery disconnect. If five minutes donít fix the issue the MMI could be bricked.

Thanks TBA, issue over. As you recommended battery power cycle for 10 mins sorted it. I knew I should have bought the wifi version lol
