I wonder if anyone knows whether it's possible to enable hill hold full-time on a Passat B6? It has hill hold installed from new, but defaults to off on every start cycle. Scan below.

I can't confirm or deny this is possible either but I checked our VW EPB Generation 3 and EPB Generation 4 files and we don't have anything like that documented for CAN controllers.

Some of the newer VW/Audi models with UDS protocol 53 modules have Adaptation channels (for things like auto-apply EPB with the door open and similar) but that doesn't apply to this car.​

On the RoW Passat B7 EPB4 3AA907801 there is an adaptation channel, which enables the Auto-Hold menu in MFA, which lets you choose between having autohold on by default, off by default or the default behaviour. This late-model B6 with it's 3C8 EPB might or might not have it.
