Yeah, no thanks. Already dealing with that headache on my 2001 Allroad. The "eco friendly" biodegradable wiring that Audi used, combined with the 13-year-old heat-damaged plastics, means it is stupidly easy to break a wire or snap a connector. This is my daily driver, I don't want to be replacing sections of the loom because the insulation disintegrated, or the connector broke in half.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

At what speed does it hang up the connection?

I'm pretty sure it's lower than that. I've been coasting in stop-and-go traffic with no connection.
I'll see if I can figure it out sometime in the near future.

So... this was interesting. I've tried to figure out what speed the ABS controller stops communicating at, but I still cannot say. It will not allow me to open a new diagnostics session, nor will it allow me to send commands to an existing one, but it WILL maintain an existing logging session, so long as it was started while the vehicle was stationary!
Log for a trip to and from the grocery store uploaded to the Dropbox link in my original post. There are quite a few entries with varying negative values for the brake pressure.

I guess the question now is whether that's really the cause of the DTC. Clear the fault code. Try to reproduce a negative value. Is that when the fault code sets?
