HEX-V2 interface and update

Hello,

I got hex-v2 with VCDS version 17.8.0. I followed the instructions but I encountered an error while performing the hardware test.
The system could not find an interface. So I tried to update the software to 19.6.1 and then tried the configuration procedure. Unfortunately in configuration I do not have the choice of Interface.
Where is the problem? I went through the forum and found nothing.

It means you've been sold a counterfeit, and you should check what steps you can take in the Czech Republic to report the seller to the Authorities so they can be prosecuted and/or fined.

Plus you need to "take it on the chin" and buy a genuine HEX-V2 - then we we will be able to help you :thumbs:

As Uwe pointed out to me recently, where a Ross-Tech agent has created an alternative language version of VCDS that is normally supplied on a CD, so coming with a CD is not automatically proof that an interface is counterfeit.

Some do, some don't.

But if the CD has a stylized panda face on it, that's a sure sign that it's not legit. :thanks:

If Resellers provide software, it would be the most recent version of a version prior... 17.8.x seems really old to me. In the Netherlands the resellers provide us a download link to download the Dutch version!
