I don't have troubles with settings in . Only the Error in climatronic and Discover Media, where everybody is telling me to ignore it, seems to have a connection with the brightness of the temperature figures and the brightness of the Discover Media Screen (during day time).
As I understand, the B7 has some extra Canbus signals that should support brightness of screens via lightsensor input.
My suspicion is somewhat confirmed by the scan with VCP where the same fault says "Break / short to ground. Lamp OFF status unknown"
I have retrofitted in my 2008 B6, B7 Gateway, B7 CMM, B7 coulor cluster, Discover Media dab+ and 3rd Generation Climatronic unit.
