Hello all, I'm new here. My basic settings for MMI got deleted because car battery voltage was insufficient. My MMI buttons don't do anything. How do I reprogram basic settings to make it work? The button "Basic settings" when I go into head control is locked and I can't press it. Thank you.

Just a little back story first. My car was absolutely flawless except for a abs light due to a sensor on a back right wheel, and because of that my traction light was on and couldn't use ebrake. Then battery died and this happened and so I went to a dealer and they reprogrammed it and everything was perfectly fine again. Until this happened again and so I just bought vcds to do this myself instead of paying the dealer. I didn't change any values just looked around and did a bunch of scans and now not only does the mmi not work but also on the scan list theres a ton more malfunctions and the drivers side of the car is sitting half an inch higher than the passenger side. I just need to reprogram basic settings for the mmi and hopefully everything else will fix itself after that.

I'll say this: The voltage in shown in your scan (11.7V/11.7V) is quite low and some modules are likely to refuse basic settings or adaptations as a result.
How long ago was this car's battery changed? Do you have a battery charger?

Yeah nein links, post data here & indeed if voltage is insufficient the wake maybe purposely prevented to keep essential components alive.
I have no idea when it was last changed. I can change it out if need be. But when I do get a new battery, how do I go about fixing this issue? & Do you need me to repost the file but in a text format or is that link sufficient for now?

I unplugged the battery for 15 minutes and then had it on with a battery booster to pretend that I have a new battery. Did the scan and here are the results. I also tried going into adaptation for control head and the leveling and read channel 00 and pressed save which is supposed to reset all adaptations to default values and still nothing. Also still cant press Basic Settings button for the control head. In the scan it says that control head button is stuck but I have no idea what that means because it doesn't specify which buttons and I pressed every button to make sure nothing is stuck. I'm super lost.

Telephone can not be reached, this module is on most loop so maybe the whole mmi is down. Get an optical loop connector to by - pass the telephone. Also perform an optical test with vcds.
Can I just disable the phone in MMI settings?

Did you spill your tasty beverage into the MMI? if so take apart and clean with TV tuner cleaner and dry out.
If not do get a loop bypass to isolate systems for diagnosis path aforementioned or using RTFB.
