/\ The Important factor left out......................!

You can't trust the AFT anymore at all..............nor even the OEM in some cases because this shit gets turned into the OEM depots, " as a dealer buy back return" and than further infiltrates the OEM warehouses in certain cases to be distributed by the OEM themselves.

This is why batch numbers and damage codes must be adhered to & further authenticated!

Me: Did the part come from the VW or Audi dealer?
Them: It is a factory part!
Me: But did you purchase it from the dealer?
Them: It came in a factory box!
Me: Did you purchase this from the dealer?
Them: It has an Audi part number on it.

Kind of wonder how many of those parts ended up at [XYZ].... Peter and Dana... you know what I'm talking about.

Although, sometimes aftermarket parts are better than the OEM ;-)

The Germans have been known to use some crappy parts over the years (and some crappy designs!) - I bet you have a big list of them, Jack.

Truth. Remember the "self adjusting" clutch cables used on back in the Mk.1/Mk.2 days? There were some heavy-duty manual-adjusting ones made in Brazil that were MUCH better.

But that was then and this is now.

He'd got rubbish sacks full of "leftovers" too
