    HEXNET firmware update error

I have a HEXNET device and needed to do a firmware update. Here is a snapshot of the refresh error. Never had that before. Does somebody possibly have an answer.

** Not able to add snapshot here..

    Thx

To add snapshot to your post you first have to upload the snapshot to an image-hosting-site like ImgBB. Simply upload it there and post the link her on the forum!

Somewhere on this forum there is a topic about Firmware-update errors... will try to locate it...

This looks like something was interfering with the USB comms. We've seen some reports of similar cases with certain touchpad software, was your first computer a laptop?

No it was a desktop. Both desktop and laptop have WIN7 as the OS.

I'm having the same 'Preparing Update / Refresh error' issue here with VCDS 19.6.1 / VCDS Config V2.248 firmware update.

I only have access to one Windows machine here (Parallels on a Mac), are there any other solutions to remedy this? Thanks Dan

Beg or borrow another computer that runs Windows natively. You do not need to install software on it. You only need two files to do interface updates, VCIConfig.exe and hidapi.dll. You can put those two files on a USB stick and run VCIConfig directly from there.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.
