Turn off hydraulic brake assist and what a difference,

Now I donít feel like Iím going to go through the windshield every time I hit the brakes hard. Plus they can be modulated versus the stock set up. I recommend to anyone with the performance packages of their vehicles to do this.

This would be a much better post if you actually included a procedure for how to do it.

    -Uwe-
The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

So Security Access with in the ABS with 11966

    Then Adaptation Channel:
    IDE05055 -- Hydraulic brake assistant

Interestingly enough, it seems this channel can have one of four values: Normal, Early, Late, and Not Activated.

What was yours set to from the factory? And have you tried any of the others to see what effect they have?

It was at Normal. And no, I have not tried the others. I was trying to get rid of the “neck snap” feeling when hard braking. Now it is a much more progressive response, with no more pedal effort.

In addition, I also set “brake booster” at 1 (factory 4), for a much firmer pedal.
