I just tested with my really slow Winbook using 19.6.0.7 on my 2018 A3 e-tron and repeated AutoScans worked fine, selecting either Auto-Detect or the chassis code (FF). Multiple Gateway Installation List clicks also worked fine.

OK, who is still having problems with not being able to do Auto-Scans with 19.6.0.7?

Chime in here. I think we have a potential fix we'd like you to try.

OK, I just put your HEX-NET on the Alpha channel temporarily. Please check for updates; it should update to CB 0.4506. Once it does, please test on the problem car (2019 Q5, IIRC) and let us know the results.

Are you giving the interface enough time to retrieve the VIN after you plug it in and/or turn on the ignition, before starting the autoscan? If so, please send support the .DLM files resulting from your autoscan with debug level set to 1024 in Options .

Sorry for the delay - yes, I am giving it enough time. I wlll try to get the .DLM file after I autoscan with the debug level at 1024.

Uwe, sorry for the late response (on a flight to Miami as I type). Straight to the point: USB tested fine, WiFi not so much (failed once, in three attempts). One thing to mention is that I did update the interface as instructed, but was under the impression something went wrong with the procedure (every time I checked for updates right after, there were "new" ROD updates available, which seemed repetitions). Unfortunately, I'll be away for a few days, but sure I can keep testing as soon as I'm back at home.

Sounds like a major improvement though?

ROD updates aren't needed or used by VCDS, they only affect VCDS-Mobile.

Let us know when you're back.

It sounds because to me it is. ;-)

I'll let you know when I'm back and available (after July 1st).

Thanks Uwe, glad to know.

Where is it possible to download v18.9? I just wish to have both versions installed.
I deleted by accident.
Is there software archive on main site?

I just put your HEX-V2 on the Alpha channel. Check it for updates; that should bump you onto CB 0.4506. Please try that first and let us know if it makes any difference.

Hi!

I have some issues aswell when try to connect to an AXR 2005 ECU.
Error attached. (Inv.Msg.Type:FFFFFFE)
If I restart program again, everything returns to normal.
Any help? Maybe a link to 18.9.1?

Thank you!

This is clearly not a "Can't Auto-Scan" problem. More info please.
- Is this with your HEX-NET, or with the older HEX+CAN that you also have?
- Is this ECU in a car? If so, please tell us exactly what car it is in.
- Please make a Debug file and send it to Support.
[Options] -> Set Debug Level to 1024 -> [Apply]
Then do whatever is necessary to reproduce the problem. Once it occurs,
exit VCDS and send the file DEBUG-01.DLM to our Support e-mail please.

VASTech A.D.,

Thanks for the files. I replied to that e-mail from support a moment ago and sent you a PS shortly after.

VASTech A.D.,

I sent of yet another e-mail. If you happen to run any scans or testing this weekend feel free to bump this thread back up as a reminder for one of us to check Support mail.

Best,
Dana

Yeap still problematic, used with latest vcds & fw on Hexnet via had today on an 8P 2010 & 8T 2013, both had numerous autoscan failures which also seems to lock vcds out from using Hexnet until a few restarts of vcds & unplugging usb & disconnecting Hexnet from the laptop & car.

Seems if you forgoe autoscan & use direct module access, this works, bit if you try & fail autoscan, then try a direct module access, it either fails to load the module or takes ages to login to said module.

This has been happening for months even on 18.9, if I can provide any data to help, let me know.

Glad it's not an isolated incident, thought I was going mad.
