VW Polo AW Blind Spot Detection Help

Guys I have Retro fitted Blind Spot Detection to my polo but even though I don't have any faults its not working 100% correctly.
Sometimes when driving the wing mirror glass detects vehicles and then it also detects nothing but lights up,its like its over sensitive and needs calibration.
I spoke to the local vw dealers and the master tech said that there is no requirement to calibrate after checking the w/shop manual.

I bought the Radars from ebay used from a vw polo and I have also asked Kufatec and they said that once you buy there kit the radars need calibration so who is right?

In the 3C lane Change there is the options for...
IDE00498-Resetting of all adaption values
IDE01475-Resetting of all adaptions
IDE02325-Reset to factory setting

Just not sure what would happen using any of these...

I don't have experience with these radars, but I believe they aren't higher tech as golf 7 MidRangeRadars.
Those don't need calibration, but they do need correct parameter dataset to function correctly. Calibration is done automatically while driving.

No need to turn it on as the calibration procedure is completed :

Unfortunately that's just how thet BSD behaves. Same in our Leon, sometimes it just detects ghosts. Luckily they're very random.

Unfortunately, they provided no instructions, and I need to know where to connect the Can-H and Can-L. Can you advise? Also, they provided a coding dongle, but it does not work. They say I need to turn ignition on (engine off), plug in the dongle and red and green LEDS will flash. Red will stop and green will continue to flash and when it goes off, coding is done. In my case, both LEDS flash for a few seconds, and then go off. On the radio under car settings I see the Blind Spot menu, with a tick in the box, but it does not allow me to untick. Maybe because my can-H and can-L is not connected yet. Do you have instructions/info on using my Hex cable?

One good point to connect CAN lines is a connection junction under the left side door sill in the front (this in LHD car but I think it's the same in RHD). I presume in Polo, BSM system is connected to extended CAN. So the colors are orange/brown and orange/grey.

You should not use the coding dongle until you have the BSM connected as well. It probably needs to code the BSM modules as well and that ain't possible until you have CAN lines connected.

Hi. Thank you for your kind and informative feedback. I appreciate it. The car is currently at VW who is assisting me to re-code the car to standard, as it was before we tried the coding dongle. It makes sense to code the car after we connected the BSD to the correct can wires, so when I get it back later today, I will look for the can wires you specified on the passenger side (RHD car) and once connected, I will re-attempt to code.

I will post an update with some more information, in order to assist anyone else with the same issue.

I managed to get the system to work perfectly. We found the correct can bus connection points, cleared all errors and re-coded the car. Everything is working 100%.
