Rolling windows up/down via door handle dimple

I understand this is a possibility. Anyone ever tinker with this? Iíve tried looking online and found mixed messaging, so now Iím asking the experts. 😊 I donít want to use my fob so as not to drain the battery too quickly.

    Again, thanks in advance,
    Chris

Huh? Key batteries cost under 50 cents each:

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

Iíve never owned one of these keyless start vehicles. I dread the day the battery goes dead on the remote.

typically, the car will tell you when the FOB battery is low.

I keep a spare battery in my glove box for my volt, which is similar to kessy.

Yep, it will fuss at you as the battery is getting low, and even with the battery dead as a door-nail, or removed entirely, there should still be a way to get into the car and start it. I don't know exactly what the 2019 Jetta's key fob looks like, but there's likely a small cut key hidden in there somewhere that will allow you to mechanically unlock the car, and then there's a magic spot somewhere inside the car that you can hold the un-powered fob that will allow the car to talk to the transponder in the key in order to start the car.

It should be something you can turn on. I'll be home in a couple hours and give you the relevant adaptations then if someone hasn't already.

    You mean something like this?

From your AdpMap in this thread I would suggest the following changes in the BCM adaptions:

Allow comfort opening in general [mandatory]:
    ENG141681-IDE02022-ZV Komfort-Comfort opening > active

Opening by KESSY (closing is already enabled):
IDE11944-ENG116653-Keyless access and start authorization-Kessy Komfort oeffnen > active

    Opening/Closing by Key Fob:
    ENG141681-ENG116652-ZV Komfort-Funk Komfort oeffnen > active
    ENG141681-ENG116651-ZV Komfort-Funk Komfort schliessen > active

    Opening/Closing by Keyhole:
    ENG141681-ENG116643-ZV Komfort-Schliesszylinder Komfort oeffnen > active
    ENG141681-ENG116644-ZV Komfort-Schliesszylinder Komfort schliessen > active

Also, please check in the HMI, if comfort operation is enabled.

BINGO! Thank you. Now Iím all set. Youíve done me a great favor. As I ask the others, if you have a favorite charity, Iíll donate $25 in your name (or screenname). :-)

Thanks for your offer, which I will kindly deny, as I donĎt think my post is worth 25$.
